Emergency first aid at work (EFAW) - 1 day

Relevant sectors: Applicable to all industries

This one-day (six hour) Emergency First Aid at Work course qualifies the delegate to act as an emergency first aider within their workplace.

You can either opt for an in-house certificate that meets all HSE requirements or sit an exam and complete the Ofqual approved Level 2 qualification valid for three years, meeting the legal requirements for your organisation.

The Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 require all employers to make arrangements to ensure their employees receive immediate attention if they are injured or taken ill at work. This includes carrying out a risk assessment, appointing a suitable amount of first aiders and providing appropriate first aid training.

Having the correct first aid provision in the workplace is not just a legal requirement, it is incredibly important for the safety of all members of staff – and it is knowledge you can take home with you.
