Tanvic Group Limited has eight service centres, a large commercial division dealing with roadside recovery, truck and agricultural tyre repairs, plus four wholesale depots, with a total of 250 employees, and the safety of the team and its customers is crucial.

Sam Zelos manages HR and compliance and says health and safety is a priority. “What we do can be high risk, especially when it comes to agricultural work and roadside recovery, but also in the service centres, where there are many potential risks.”

Sam works with Emprocom for Tanvic Group’s health and safety requirements. “We brought Emprocom on when I joined four years ago and they have been fantastic to work with. They’ve made us focus on our compliance and making things as they should be.

“They audit each of our depots every year and have made a big impact on many of the sites over the years. Their support has made me feel a lot more comfortable in my role, and I know if we have any requests for policy documents, they are sorted and only a click away,” says Sam.

Emprocom manages health and safety for the Tanvic Group, safe ways of working, all of the policies, including driving for work, all compliance, risk assessments and has conducted mental health training.

“We have robust policies in place and Emprocom always tries to give practical solutions to issues. They will look around, making tweaks to get it right without it being too onerous,” adds Sam.
